It has been a long trek since the early days of Midjourney, but at last, it is accurate enough to render a near-perfect hotdog on the first roll. If you are unaware of the enormity of this event, then let me give you a mini-history of AI art with hotdogs as the main reference.
My first attempt was with v4. The first roll was well off, so I loaded the prompt with more description to create something usable.
Looking through my archive now, I can’t believe how many attempts I made; I must have been at it for days. A tiny fraction is shown above. I set myself a challenge to write an article and kept going.
v5 was a little better but still needed more description than the word hot dog. It was a nightmare getting rid of the steam and other extraneous details.
